A queen in quarantine

When I launched my drag career last year, I never pictured that I’d have to “work from home.”

Like most people, I never imagined a devastating outbreak that would rock our world. Yet in March 2020, that became our reality.

Since all the venues and workplaces are temporarily shut down to prevent spreading the virus, I have been staying at home, working on my craft and preparing to get back on stage. Recently I hosted a digital drag tutorial for LGBTQ+ youth, and I am preparing more digital projects to work on as the quarantine continues. And of course, there is this new website!

I am grateful that to have my health at this time, and my heart goes out to all those affected by the disease or the quarantine. I pray that we will meet again in happier times.

I’m not sure when we’ll be allowed out again, but I assure you that you’ll see Gila twirling and laughing on stage as soon as she can!

Kisses, G
